World premiere of “Inarritu”

A brand new composition of mine entitled Inarritu premieres this month at the University of California-San Diego! Inarritu is a piece for double bass, flute, and piano that was commissioned by bassist and fellow Fresh Inc. alum Matt Kline. The piece exists in two forms: in one, it is a four movement piece that explores four distinct sound worlds. In the other, it is one uninterrupted piece in which sections of the four original movements have been dissected, juxtaposed, and reassembled into one jumbled postmodern mess.
